World Languages Faculty

Joni Clemmer, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade French Teacher and Social Studies Teacher

After spending time in France as an “au pair”, I developed a love of the French language and culture. I enjoy sharing my love of French and Social Studies with students. Learning both language and Social Studies helps students open their minds to other cultures and mindsets. Both areas of study lead students to become greater & more compassionate “global citizens”.  Understanding and celebrating other cultures and languages opens the door for future adventures and opportunities. Frank Smith once said, “One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way.”

Elizabeth Gossett, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Spanish Teacher

My passion for the Spanish language and culture is driven by my experiences I had while living and traveling through Spain. I became an educator because I wanted to share those experiences and encourage my students to explore the Spanish-speaking world and experience cultures other than their own.
