MIDDLE SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHER (FULL TIME)
The Alternative School For Math and Science seeks an experienced, creative, collaborative, middle school instrumental music teacher to join the school’s music faculty beginning in the 2020-2021 school year. Primary responsibilities include the co-direction and management of the ASMS concert band, one-on-one instrumental instruction, and serving as an academic advisor. The successful candidate will also be excited about participating fully in the elective and extra-curricular programs of the school, including preparing students for area and state music contests. Qualifications, Skills and Competencies.
An undergraduate degree in music performance or music education is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience teaching middle or high school students.
A high level of proficiency on at least one band instrument.
Proficiency at teaching all band instruments.
